The National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri) owns and operates 93 vessels, including 46 Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCCs), 36 chemical/product tankers, six multipurpose vessels and five dry-bulk carriers, with additional six VLCCs on order. In June 2014, Bahri meged with Vela International Marine, the shipping subsidiary of Saudi Arabian Oil Company. National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia is the second largest owner of VLCCs in the world and the largest owner of chemical tankers in the Middle East.
