Oman Housing Bank
Oman Housing Bank was established in 1977 as successor of Oman National Housing Development Company, which had been involved in housing finance in Oman since 1974. The founders at that time were the governments of Oman and Kuwait, and the British Bank of the Middle East. In 1980 BBME sold its shares to the government of Oman and Oman Development Bank. In 1992, Omani institutions purchased the stake which was held by Kuwait. Oman Housing Bank had total assets of OMR 570.24 million at the end of 2018.
