HE Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Bin Nasser Al Thani was unanimously elected president of Qartar Sports Club (QSC)
The election was made at the club’s General Assembly regular meeting which accepted the resignation of the QSC’s former president HE Sheikh Hamad Bin Suhaim Al Thani.
HE Sheikh Hamad Bin Suhaim Al Thani had presented an official apology letter on Nov.14, 2013 for not presiding over the club in its current session which expires on June 30, 2016.
For his part, HE Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Bin Nasser Al Thani, while addressing the general assembly meeting, considered the resignation of HE Sheikh Hamad Bin Suhaim a great loss to the Qatar Sports Club in particular and the Qatari sports in general over his 30 years presidency, which characterized with wisdom, outstanding position and grand and tireless efforts for promoting the club’s name.
HE Sheikh Jassim made clear that the general assembly has approved the board’s proposal to bestow honoarary presidency on HE Sheikh Hamad Bin Suhaim in recognition of his efforts over his presidency duration of the club.
