Alizz Islamic Bank has appointed Salaam Al Shaksy as the chief executive officer of the bank, according to a disclosure to the Muscat Securities Market.
Earlier this month, Mr. Al Shaksy had resigned as CEO of National Bank of Oman.
Mr. Al Shaksy started his banking career with Citibank Global Consumer Business in Dubai 1993 and has since held the position of general manager and CEO with several banks and financial institutions such as NBO, Dubai Bank, Dubai Banking Group, Dubai Islamic Investment Group and Majan International Bank.
He has also been on the boards of many national and international companies.
