Cabinet reshuffle sees new ministers take over Justice and Education portfolios.
Hussain Ibrahim Al Hammadi is the new minister of education and Sultan Saeed Al Badi takes over as the new minister of justice. Al Hammadi took over the reins of the education ministry from Humaid Mohammad Obaid Al Qatami, while Al Badi replaced Dr. Hadef Jaw’an Al Daheri.
Mr Al Hammadi, a father of five, was born in 1966, educated in the US at Embry-Riddle University and has held several positions in the field of education.
He was chairman of the board of trustees of the Institute of Applied Technology and at the Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training, and a board member at the National Transport Authority and at Khalifa University.
Mr Al Badi was born in 1963, holds a bachelor of law degree from UAE University and served as undersecretary at the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department. He is credited with developing the department’s technical and administrative affairs.
Mr Al Badi also served as head of Al Ain Public Prosecution, undersecretary at the Ministry of Justice, and was also given the post of chief of Sharia judiciary in Abu Dhabi.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, tweeted that the new ministers were “two accomplished youths. I welcome them aboard and wish them all the best in their duties”.
