The annual awards commemorates both CEOs and companies within nine individual industries, spanning IT, media, real estate, banking, aviation, tourism, retail, healthcare and energy.
A total of 25 awards – judged by an independent panel and public voting – were handed over to some of the biggest names in the country.
Dubai Duty Free received the ‘UAE Company of the Year’ award, as well as the ‘Retail Company of the Year’, and both were collected in person by George Horan, president of DDF.
Shayne Nelson, CEO of Emirates NBD, collected the award for Banking CEO of the Year, and the coveted overall ‘Gulf Business CEO of the Year’.
