Abu Dhabi National Hotels has appointed Ignace Bauwens as chief executive officer, replacing Richard Riley who resigned last March.
Ignace Bauwens brings more than 25 years of industry experience to his new role, having worked with hotel groups such as IHG and Accor. He has previously held key management positions in Belgium, Germany, Austria, Luxembourg, the Middle East, and Africa.
At ADNH, Ignace Bauwens will focus on the group’s targeted developments while promoting ADNH’s role in optimizing tourism and hospitality in the region.
Commenting on his appointment, Bauwens said: “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to play an influential role in shaping the future of Abu Dhabi National Hotels and to build on ADNH’s commitment to people, quality and further support its strategy and upward development in the region.
“Abu Dhabi National Hotels has achieved phenomenal momentum in diversifying its holdings and interests on a global scale, now being synonymous with excellence and luxury. I look forward to having the opportunity to build together with the ADNH team on the strong foundation of the company’s vision and driving its growth.”
Bauwens holds a Bachelor’s Degree in hotel management, and has won a number of industry awards, including the Silver Bernache Award for Financial and Economical Accomplishments by Accor.
