Kuwait’s Gulf Bank has announced the appointment of Antoine Daher as Chief Executive Officer, starting December 1, 2016.
Mr. Antoine Daher (biography), who has held the post of Deputy CEO since August 2013, succeeds Mr. César González-Bueno who was appointed as CEO in March 2014.
No reason for Mr. González-Bueno’s departure was given.
Mr. Daher joined Gulf Bank as Deputy CEO for Wholesale Banking.
Prior to joining the bank he served as General Manager of the Domestic Corporate Banking Group for NBK from 2011-2013 and as the Head of the Corporate and Syndication division at NBK from 2007-2011.
Prior to moving to Kuwait, Mr. Daher worked at National City Bank in Ohio for eight years, where he held positions in structured finance, syndication, and investment banking.
Mr. Daher holds a BSc in Civil Engineering and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University in Ohio. He has also attended Executive Education courses given by Harvard Business School.
