Investcorp’s NDT Corrosion Control Services acquires Oman’s Hi-Tech Inspection Services.
Investcorp’s NDT Corrosion Control Services (profile), the largest non-destructive testing service provider in Saudi Arabia, has acquired a majority stake in Hi-Tech Inspection Services (profile), Oman’s largest company in the same industrial specialization.
Hi-Tech’s founders are the Al Sulaimi Group (profile), while NDT Corrosion Control Services (NDT CCS) is owned by Investcorp (profile), the Bahrain-based investment bank.
Hi-Tech offers a complete range of non-destructive testing, post-weld heat treatment and specialized inspection services to clients in Oman engaged in the oil and gas, manufacturing and construction sectors.
It employs more than 600 specialized technicians and has an estimated market share of over 35 per cent in Oman.
Investcorp acquired a majority stake in NDT CCS in July 2015.
