NPCC profit increases 57 per cent in 2017

National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC)’s revenues and profits for the decade reach AED 48 billion and AED 8 billion respectively.

H.E. Hussein Al Nowais, Chairman of National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC), a subsidiary of General Holding Corporation, announced that the company had achieved a profit of AED 700 million in 2017, an increase of 57% compared to the previous year, despite the impact of low oil prices.

NPCC’s revenues in 2017 increased by 21% to AED 5.7 billion, an indicator of company’s topline performance. In the last decade, the company made AED 8 billion in profits and its cumulative revenues for the same period were AED 48 billion.

Eng. Aqeel A. Madhi, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, said that NPCC was founded 45 years ago in Abu Dhabi and has contributed significantly in the development of the oil and gas industry in the Gulf region. It has executed over 1250 EPC projects, laid over 5,800 kilometers of pipelines and cables, and built and installed over 1,250 structures to world class standards.

Eng. Ahmed Al Dhaheri, CEO, said that the company has the largest fleet and fabrication yard in the MENA region, consisting of 22 vessels, and 1.3 million square meters respectively.

NPCC employs over 1,200 engineers, in four engineering centers in UAE, India and France. More
