SEHA taps Gareth Goodier for Group CEO position

Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) announced the appointment of Dr. Gareth Goodier as the new Group Chief Executive Officer.

Announcing the appointment of Dr. Gareth Goodier, H.E. Salem Rashed Al Nuaimi, Chairman at SEHA, said: “Dr. Gareth Goodier brings a wealth of international experience from the most advanced health systems in the world and has a track record of developing talent and staying ahead of the healthcare innovation curve.”

Abu Dhabi's SEHA appoints Dr Gareth Goodier as Group CEOWith a distinguished career spanning three decades, Dr. Gareth Goodier (biography) has worked in senior management positions in Europe and Australia. His international leadership in healthcare systems and delivery has also included major projects for the World Bank in Kuwait and Lebanon as well as advising several governments on systems management and innovation.

Most recently, Dr. Goodier served as the inaugural Executive Chair at Melbourne Biomedical Precinct.

In previous roles, Dr. Goodier has also held leadership positions at academic hospitals including Cambridge University Hospitals, Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals, in the UK, and Royal Melbourne Hospital, Royal Perth Hospital, Women’s and Children’s in Perth, in Australia. In all roles he has consistently elevated quality of healthcare, upskilled talent, and driven the adoption of modern, innovative methods.

Speaking on his appointment, Dr. Goodier said; “I am humbled and honored to play a role in driving this mandate forward. Together we will create a healthier UAE.
