Al Huthaili joins Duqm Refinery as CEO from Oxea

Dr. Salim Al Huthaili, the CEO of Oxea, a global manufacturer of oxo intermediates and oxo derivatives, will join Oman’s Duqm Refinery and Petrochemical Industries Company as CEO in January 2019.

Dr. Al Huthaili joined Oxea in early 2015 and has been responsible for the delivery of large projects, including a new facility for Propanol in the United States, and an expanded production capability for carboxylic acids.

Duqm Refinery's CEO Dr. Salim Al HuthailiDr. Al Huthaili will play a leading role in the integration of Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industries Company and Oman Oil Company. Furthermore, he will remain with Oxea and move up to the Board.

Before joining Oxea, Dr. Al Huthaili worked at Oman Oil Company as Strategy and Performance Director for the Downstream Business.

Prior to Oman Oil, he held various roles in Royal Dutch Shell including leading Shell Chemicals Operations in the Middle East.

Dr. Al Huthaili holds a PhD in Engineering from the University of Nottingham, England.
