Council of Oman
The Council of Oman is a bicameral parliament, made up of the members of the State Council and the Consultation Council (or Shura Council). The Shura Council is made up of representatives of the Sultanate's governorates (wilayas). The State Council’s members include former ministers, undersecretaries, ambassadors, judges, senior officers and others of equivalent rank, as well as leading men of science and culture with expertise in specific fields.
