Green Energy Oman (GEO) is a 25-gigawatt wind and solar green fuels facility sited on a 6,500-kilometer area in the southern region of Oman in Al Wusta and Dhofar governorates where it will utilize Oman’s natural resources of wind and sun to turn seawater into green fuels: hydrogen, ammonia, methanol, and synthetic fuels. The company plans to erect long rows consisting of 1,800 large wind turbines and 20 million solar panels, which will be installed over a 10-year period.
