Mawarid Turbine is planning to build a wind turbine manufacturing facility in the Special Economic Zone at Duqm (SEZAD) in Oman. The plant is designed to produce wind turbines with a combined annual capacity of 1,000 megawatts, catering to two advanced turbine models of 6.25 megawatts and 9.6 megawatts. With an investment value exceeding OMR 70 million (around USD 200 million), the facility is expected to be commercially operational by 2026.
