These search guidelines are meant to help you obtain the best results.
Search By Full Name
Enter any word or combination of words and press Find. The resulting names are listed in alphabetical order.
For best outcomes, try to limit the number of characters in each word to a bare minimum. For instance, if you’re searching for all the people who have “Ahmed” in their name, the best results are fetched if you enter the string “Ahm”. That’s because some people spell the name “Ahmed” with an ‘e’ and others with an ‘a”. The same applies to names such as “Khaled” and “Khalid”.
Do not use prefixes or articles such as ‘Al’, ‘El’ or the word ‘Bin’ in the search.
Search By Family Name
Enter any portion of a family name in the search window. A drop-down list appears from which you can select your target, or just press Find to display the entire list. The resulting names are listed in alphabetical order.
Minimize the number of search characters as much as possible in order to avoid facing transliteration issues from Arabic to English. For instance, if you’re looking for a member of the ‘Mansouri’ family, you will not get any hits. That’s because we have normalized (or standardized) this particular name across the database to be spelled as “Mansoori” (oo instead of ou) based on the fact that most holders of such family name spell it with a ‘oo’.
Do not use prefixes or articles such as ‘Al’ or ‘El’ in the search.
Search By Related Organization
Enter any portion of an organization’s name in the search window and press Find. The results appear in alphabetical order.
Minimize the number of search characters as much as possible in order to avoid facing transliteration issues from Arabic to English. For instance, if you’re searching for a person related to a particular “Ghanim” company in Kuwait, just enter ‘Gha’ or ‘Ghan” since some companies are written with an ‘i’ (Ghanim), while others are written with an ‘e’ (Ghanem).
Do not enter prefixes or articles such as ‘Al’, ‘El’ or ‘The’ in the search.
Search By Nationality
Click on the search window. A drop-down list of countries appears. Select the desired country and click Find. All names will display in alphabetical order.
You can narrow your search by entering search criteria in two or more search windows. For instance, if you wish to have a list of people who have the string ‘Ghan’ in their name in Qatar only, enter ‘Ghan’ in the search window By Full Name and select Qatar in the search window By Nationality, and press Find.
Note: Search results are always listed in alphabetical order based on the first given name. However, you can sort the results by clicking on any of the other headings: ‘Position’, ‘Nationality’ or ‘Main Related Company/Organization‘.
