Summary
General Food Security Authority (formerly Saudi Grains Organization) establishes and operates flour mills, animal feed factories, and related industries. It buys grains and maintains an appropriate reserve to face emergency circumstances. The Organization is in the process of spinning off its flour mills to the private sector and turn itself into a regulator and retain control of wheat purchasing and storage. Saudi Grains Organization's 12 mills currently have a combined milling capacity of 13,980 metric tons per day.
